The Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) launches the “Hong Kong Observatory Open Day 2022” webpage today (Saturday, 26 November) to facilitate the public’s understanding of the HKO’s work and services through virtual tours of the HKO Headquarters.

HKO Open Day adopts the theme of this year’s World Meteorological Day, “Early Warning and Early Action. Hydrometeorological and Climate Information for Disaster Risk Reduction”. It aims to raise public awareness of the risks associated with extreme weather under climate change, and encourage all to exercise early preparatory actions and contribute to disaster reduction. The webpage provides a diversified virtual visit experience through virtual tours, videos and interactive games.
